Charles S. Winslow
Charles S. Winslow is a resourceful
and team-oriented executive recognized for the ability
to assist early stage companies with issues concerning
funding, capital structures, and business development
in the rapid growth technology and financial services
industries. Mr. Winslow’s 21 years of experience
include building and managing a venture capital-funded
start-up company, work in Big 5 technology consulting,
and serving as a business development executive for
a mid-market company.
Mr. Winslow is the founder and Managing
Director of the Hanover Group, a Member of the Threshold
Network. With Hanover, Mr. Winslow consults to early
stage companies on issues of equity capital raises and
business development. In this role, he has completed
Series A capitalizations for several early stage technology
firms. Prior to Hanover, Mr. Winslow founded and was
Executive Vice President of Business Development for
World Financial Exchange (WOFEX), an electronic for-profit
stock exchange. At WOFEX, he managed the firm’s
early stage development and successfully raised seed
funding from strategic investors, leading to a Series
B financing by Hewlett Packard.
Previously, Mr. Winslow was a consultant
with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) within the
Financial Services practice, where he managed a consulting
team that contributed to $400 million in sales of financial
services strategy. Earlier, he was a financial consultant
with Smith Barney, and served as Executive Vice President
of Business Development at Manner, Incorporated, a $50
million (annual revenue) media firm.
Mr. Winslow holds an MBA in Finance
from New York University’s Stern School of Business,
and a BA in History from Dartmouth College. He is fluent
in Italian and maintains conversational ability in Spanish
and French. Mr. Winslow’s experience also includes
working and living in Europe and Asia for 5 years.
