David Ireland
David Ireland is a versatile, results-oriented Senior
Management Professional with more than 27 years of experience.
He is a dynamic leader and consultant with a track record
of driving sales in both start-up and turnaround situations.
Mr. Ireland’s background reflects significant
accomplishments in sales, marketing, strategic planning,
and key account management.
Most recently, Mr. Ireland served as Vice President
of Sales and Marketing at York Telecom, a telecommunications
firm specializing in professional services and integration
for video teleconferencing. While with York, he built
the firm’s sales and marketing organization from
zero to ten employees within a one year period, and
increased revenue from $12 million to $16 million in
1999, and to $20 million in 2000. In addition, he spearheaded
negotiations for the acquisition of the Access Switch
Division of Madge networks, and then served as President
of new organization, Initia, Inc., where he acquired
two companies that provided unique video and network
management solutions.
Previously, Mr. Ireland served as Chief Operating Officer
of Commvault Systems, a network storage firm and management
buy-out from AT&T. With Commvault, he raised venture
capital and created infrastructure to facilitate company’s
rapid growth. He led the company’s global expansion
while increasing annual sales from $2 million to $36
million. He established a highly effective domestic
and international sales organization consisting of 52
people.
Earlier, Mr. Ireland served as Vice President of Sales
and Marketing for Eastman Kodak, where he was recruited
to design and launch a major sales and marketing effort
for a UNIX-based legal information system. While with
Eastman Kodak, he was responsible for generating more
than $20 million in annual sales volume within a two-year
period. Prior to Eastman Kodak, Mr. Ireland served as
Director of Sales for Syntrex, an office automation
solutions provider, where he was instrumental in increasing
corporate sales from $2 million to more than $40 million.
Earlier, Mr. Ireland enjoyed a 12 year sales career
with Perkin Elmer Corporation/ Interdata.
Mr. Ireland attended Monmouth University in New Jersey,
and has completed numerous sales/management training
programs, including the AMA’s Management /Marketing
/Negotiating Courses, and the Krauss Negotiating Course.
He also served his country as a part of the United States
Air Force – NSA.
