The Olive Tree group consists of Olive
Tree Capital and Olive Tree Solutions, both specializing
in assisting International companies enter the US market.
Olive Tree Capital is a full-service investment management
and advisory services firm. Olive Tree Solutions specializes
in developing channel distribution solutions for foreign
companies. Olive Tree Capital services include: strategic
planning, business development, sales and investment
banking for the high technology and life sciences sectors.
Olive Tree has strong ties to the Israeli market and
is certified by the Israeli Ministry of Trade and Industry,
Office of the Chief Scientist to provide marketing and
business development services to its technological incubators.
Principals
Nathan Guedalia
Nathan Guedalia is an experienced technology
executive with over 20 years of experience in the defense,
telecommunications and IT software industries. Prior
to joining Olive Tree Capital, Mr. Guedalia served as
the Director of product Marketing at Ariel Corporation,
a company specialized in DSP and Dialup solutions, where
he lead the product marketing activities of Ariel’s
system products which included an SS7 based softswitch
based dialup solution and variety of management platforms.
Previously, Mr. Guedalia was in various
senior product management positions in Racal Datacom
and Trendium, a startup developing a quality of service
Operations Support System (OSS) for ATM and IP. Mr.
Guedalia was an executive at NCC, a software development
and consulting firm in numerous capacities over a 10-year
period. He served for several; years as senior consultant
to the Israel Communications Company Bezeq, performing
strategic planning for advanced telecommunications technologies.
In addition Mr. Guedalia was Bezeq liaison to the International
Telecommunications Union (ITU) in Switzerland for 6
years where he authored one International Standard and
also served as chairman of a study question. Mr. Guedalia
while at NCC was responsible for acquisitions of large
systems for Telecom carriers. Mr. Guedalia was the chief
scientist in NCC where he started the company export
business. Previous to NCC Mr. Guedalia was involved
for 10 years in the defense sector with specialty in
operations research and system engineering for Electronic
Warfare and Command Control Communications and Intelligence
(C3I) systems.
Mr. Guedalia was the co-founder of
a private company exporting goods to French Provinces.
Mr. Guedalia holds two master degrees
in Information and Communications theory from The University
of Illinois and Northeaster University.
Nuriel Guedalia
Nuriel Guedalia - has 15 years experience
as a principal and advisor to several startup companies.
He was actively involved in building those businesses.
Mr. Guedalia is a general partner of Olive Tree Partners,
LP, as well as a Principal in Olive Tree Solutions,
where he holds the position of head trader, technical
analyst, and strategist. He has managed the sales and
operations of several entities concurrently. At The
Bigger Picture and Copy Centre a Photo finishing enterprise
as an entrepreneur he held the position of founder responsible
for business development, sales and administrative management.
The business was built to $1 million in sales and sold.
Additionally, he has launched, managed and developed
324 East Associates a Real Estate Venture where he developed
and managed a portfolio of commercial properties. Recognizing
the emerging trend of purified bottled water delivery
to homes Mr. Guedalia founded Fresh and Cool Inc.
Mr. Guedalia is an independent thinker with relevant
management experience that translates into development
of strategic plans for clients in need of guidance in
the areas of short-term, intermediate, and long-term
goals, with a focus on what they need to do to achieve
them. His skill set is key in development of new business
plans and in revision of existing ones in light of changing
market conditions.
Mr. Guedalia holds a BFA and an MFA
from the School of Visual Arts, NYC and excels at "Bridging
the Gap" when it comes to cultural issues between
Middle Eastern cultures and the rest of the world. As
such he is able to manage through communications issues
that would otherwise undo business dealings.
