Mr. William Masterson is a seasoned
executive with over 25 years of general management,
marketing, sales, and financial management experience
within a wide variety of consumer products and categories.
His broad experience includes corporate growth through
market development and expansion, ventured financing,
acquisitions and divestitures.
Mr. Masterson’s initial marketing,
sales and new business development and experience was
gained at The Pillsbury Company and General Foods Corporation.
From 1986 through 1989, Mr. Masterson was President/COO
of CPC International, Best Foods, Canada, a manufacturer/distributor
of shelf stable food and household products where he
grew market share by 10% through a formal five year
growth plan, reduced cost of goods by 6%, and improved
profit by 90% over the previous year. As President of
Durkee French Foods, a division of Reckitt & Coleman,
Inc. ($450 million in annual sales for food and household
products) from 1989-1992, Mr. Masterson was responsible
for the integration of two independent operations into
one resulting in 11% volume growth, 4% dollar share
growth, and 2.0 point margin improvements. During 1992-1994,
Mr. Masterson was President and CEO of Drake Bakeries
($140 million in annual sales) at which time he re-established
Drake’s as the #1 selling snack cake by increasing
dollar share to 30% and case volume by 10%. As President
and Chief Operating Officer of Vitarroz Corporation
(specialty foods distributor; $55 million in annual
sales), he directed an acquisition initiative that represented
a 35% volume increase and 7.0 point margin improvement
to the core business.
Mr. Masterson earned an MBA and
Marketing Degree from The Wharton School, University
of Pennsylvania and graduated from Xavier University
with a B.S. in Economics.
